Privacy Policy

Nudget is a personal finance application operated by Skorgen Media (org.nr. 921 242 379), based in Norway. Contact us at hello@getnudget.com.

When you use Nudget, we collect:

• Account data — your email address and display name, provided when you register.
• Financial data — income entries, budget sheets, and expense entries you create. This data is entered entirely by you.
• Payment data — if you subscribe to Nudget Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store card details. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID to manage your subscription.
• Usage data — anonymous, aggregated page view data via Vercel Analytics. No personal data, no cookies, cannot identify you.

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

• Contract — processing your account and financial data is necessary to provide the service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interest — basic operational logging to maintain security and reliability.
• Consent — anonymous analytics, which you can decline via the cookie banner.
• Legal obligation — retaining transaction records as required by Norwegian law.

We use your data solely to:

• Provide and improve the Nudget service
• Manage your subscription and process payments
• Send transactional emails (email confirmation, password reset)
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

We use the following sub-processors:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting. Data stored in EU infrastructure.
• Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — application hosting and anonymous analytics. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your personal data and financial entries are permanently deleted immediately. Payment records may be retained for up to 5 years to comply with Norwegian accounting regulations.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — delete your account and all data at any time from Settings
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@getnudget.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with Datatilsynet, the Norwegian data protection authority.

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (session tokens). With your consent, we use Vercel Analytics for anonymous usage statistics. You can manage cookie preferences via the banner shown on your first visit.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice in the app.
